Bishop Michael Dickerson, Sr., is a native of Washington, D.C., and oldest son of eight siblings, born to James and Ella Dickerson.
Pastor Dickerson served four years in the US Marine Corps, two years reserved. Worked in the federal government in Norfolk, Virginia, and later relocated to Washington, D.C., where he served with the DC government for over 15 years. He is also an alumnus of Washington Bible College.
He has been married to Tema for 41 years, and together they have three children and eight grandchildren.
Following God’s calling, Pastor Dickerson founded New Beginning In Christ Apostolic Church in the living room of his mothers house. who graciously opened her doors to the work of the Lord. He was ordained as an Elder in December 1993, and within the first four months, the church grew and relocated to Hill Road in Landover, Maryland. He was consecrated as Bishop in April 2017.
Pastor Dickerson remains committed to winning souls for Christ, with a mission to reach the unreachable, whether the need is spiritual, psychological, or physical. He preaches and teaches messages of restoration and renewal, marked by his integrity, intellect, love for people, and fatherly demeanor.

We believe that salvation comes through the

Lord Jesus Christ exclusively.
