Bishop Michael Dickerson, Sr.,

Bishop Michael Dickerson, Sr. is the Pastor and Founder of New Beginning In Christ Apostolic Church, Inc. A native of Washington, D.C., he has dedicated his life to serving God, his family, the church, and the community.
Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, Bishop Dickerson proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps and later worked in both federal and District of Columbia government service. He is also an alumnus of Washington Bible College.
Bishop Dickerson and his wife, Co-Pastor Tema Dickerson, have been married since October 25, 1982. They are blessed with five adult children—three daughters and two sons—and 12 grandchildren.
In 1993, God placed a burden on Bishop Dickerson's heart to begin a ministry that would reach people with the transforming message of Jesus Christ. What began with prayer and Bible teaching in the home of his mother, Ella Dickerson, grew into New Beginning In Christ Apostolic Church.
Bishop Dickerson was ordained as an Elder in December 1993 and later consecrated and ordained to the office of Bishop on April 2, 2017.
His heart for ministry continues to be reaching people wherever they are and helping them experience spiritual restoration, renewed hope, and a closer relationship with God. He is known for his love for people, his commitment to the Word of God, and his desire to see lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Dickerson continues to lead New Beginning In Christ Apostolic Church with the same purpose that inspired the ministry from the beginning: to reach souls, strengthen families, and help people experience a new beginning in Christ.

Co-Pastor Tema Dickerson
Co-Pastor / First Lady
Co-Pastor Tema Dickerson is a native of Washington, D.C., and has served in ministry from an early age. She serves alongside her husband, Bishop Michael Dickerson, Sr., Pastor and Founder of New Beginning In Christ Apostolic Church, Inc.
Throughout the years, Co-Pastor Dickerson has served through preaching, teaching, prayer, outreach, administration, and supporting the day-to-day work of the ministry. She has a heart for encouraging women and families and serves through the Sisters Helping Sisters Women’s Ministry. Her passion for community outreach also led to the establishment of the Ella L. Dickerson Family Life Foundation, Inc.
Her desire is to strengthen and encourage others and to help people experience healing, restoration, and a new beginning in Christ.
